Data and methodology

Chemist Map pulls together publicly available information about pharmacies in Australia. Below is where the data comes from and how we keep it accurate.

Sources

We construct the directory using OpenStreetMap along with other public listings, organizing the data into a consistent format that includes opening hours, contacts and services when available.

Deduplication

Pharmacies sometimes appear in several sources at once. We combine matching entries by location and name so each one has just a single page.

How often we check

Data gets updated from time to time, and each pharmacy page shows when its information was last verified.

Coverage

Our directory currently covers 8057 pharmacies across 71 cities and towns in Australia.
